We served biscuits with blueberry sauce for breakfast before church. That was not the best idea since Mercy needed a bath before she could be dressed to go!

LEGO WeDo
The county library system had a class for LEGO WeDo class. We signed Avalyn up for it and her cousin joined her. They had a great time building and programming!
Waiting for the class to start.
Working together to build their first creation.
Programming their lion.
The kids' lion.
Avalyn was very excited when they got the lion to sit up!
Programming their alligator.
Cute little alligator!

Week 7: Project 365
So this one is a couple of days late. As I decided not to worry about the challenge, I just took pictures of what was going on around us.
February 7: View from my usual spot (props to anyone who can guess what I am watching).
February 8: How to blow your nose 101 (I couldn't stop laughing at this! Adrian said we needed to add this to the list of things you never thought you would do as before you became a parent.)
February 9: Missed
February 10: Sophia
February 11: Mixing up some pizza crusts
February 12: Mercy wanted to put some "eyes" on.
February 13: I made Moroccan Soup, and had to mix the spices together first. I love the layers!
February 14: We cleaned up all the LEGOs that had been hanging out in the dining room for months. I took pictures of some of the kids creations before we took them apart. I made this little guy many years ago!

Week 6: 365 Project
So this post is quite a bit late. I got a little discouraged with my pictures and just the trouble I was having actually picking up my camera to take pictures! Hopefully I'll get over it and keep moving forward.
So for Jan 31: I didn't take any pictures as it was the Lord's Day.
On Feb. 1, I decided to start a new photo challenge. I found it on pinterest years ago! It is from Amanda Braswell. Here it is. I didn't feel like the list fit what kind of pictures I try to take or what I really want to do. After trying it for only a couple of days, I didn't look at it again.
February 1: A street
It was raining and this was as close to our street as I could get without getting wet!
February 2: A stranger
How about a stranger's car?!
February 3: Lunch
Making toastadas for my kids is quite the task!
February 4: Light
I missed this day and this is where I started not really following the challenge any more.
February 5: Dark
I love these little hands!
February 6: Texture
Another miss.

Concentration
Mercy loves to use a "bim" to draw on "paypa". She was so intent on her work, that I had to take a moment to capture it!

January Photo Extras
Mercy has decided that she likes to watch "Shaun the Sheep". I try to use it as an occasional special snuggle time before bed. She gets so excited and dances to the music and the asks for "one more"!
I don't think I will ever get tired of seeing my kids read to each other!
Mercy had a lot of fun trying to stand on her head. This was the best picture, even though the white balance is off. Maybe one day I will look into editing this kind of picture, but not today! :)
All the kids wanted to feel the baby moving. As this little guy seems to never stop moving, it makes it easy for them to feel him.

Week Five: Project 365
I need to hang my head in shame as I didn't take pictures FOUR days this week. When I did take pictures, I had trouble with white balance. I had fun playing with it, but I obviously don't know quite how to correct the imbalance of the lighting in my house.
Day 25: Something Pink
Day 26: Close-Up
I did not manage to take a close up on the 26th, so on the 27th, I went ahead and took some close ups of my Keira eating her breakfast.
Day 27: From a Distance
This one was taken on the 28th. It isn't from a large distance. I was in a hurry to just take a picture!
(Do you notice the white balance? I had the camera set to incendecent because that is the main light source where Keira was sitting. But all the natural light from the window in the family room gives everything behind Keira a blue tint. I don't know how to fix that except to put the camera on auto. I'll have to look into it.)
Day 28: Flowers
I didn't have an flowers available to me, so I took a picture of my sprouting onion! The kids and I love to watch our produce sprout! Though it symbolizes my lack of diligence in using all that we have.
Day 29: Black and White
This one was a little harder for me as it wasn't a subject. Then I had grand plans of taking a picture in the cemetery near our church, but I left my camera at home! Finally I decided to take a picture of a box with a cool textured picture to see how it would look in black and white.
This was taken normally, then I used the camera's edits to change it to black and white. I also tried the same shot using the camera's "night mode" which appeared to have the same result. I don't know what the difference is in the way that it converts from color to B&W and to night mode.
Day 30: Self-Portrait
I had ideas for a self portrait, but did not put a single one into practice. Instead I took a picture of what was left after I made guacamole!
I really liked all the green! I made the guacamole while the kids were getting ready for breakfast and cleaning up, so Adrian and I ate this as a breakfast snack. It was really good!
That was the end of the photo challenge, but there were 31 days in January, and I completely missed the last day of the month!
Today is a new day, and I took a couple of different pictures. So I hope to start off February on a good foot!
I hope that you have enjoyed seeing what I have tried to photograph and that you have taken the steps to document your life as well!
